Commercial 62kW Solar & LED Lighting Upgrade
Press Power Group worked with a Bathurst facilities maintenance company to reduce energy use across its office and warehouse operations.
The project combined a 62kW commercial solar installation with a full LED lighting upgrade, allowing Press Power to address both electricity generation and day-to-day energy efficiency as part of the same project.
Over the following year, the business reported an average reduction of approximately 70% in power bills.

A Combined Energy Efficiency Approach
Rather than looking at solar in isolation, Press Power considered how the site was using electricity across the business. Upgrading the existing lighting to LED reduced the amount of power required throughout the offices and warehouse, while the new solar system helped offset a significant portion of the remaining electricity demand.
By combining the two upgrades, the business was able to improve efficiency while generating more of its electricity on-site.
Looking Towards Battery Storage
Following the solar and lighting project, the business began considering battery storage as the next stage of its energy strategy.
Battery storage could allow more surplus solar energy to be retained for use later, helping the site make greater use of the electricity generated during strong summer solar periods.
