Solar Designed Around Limited Roof Space
Press Power Group designed and installed a 99.6kW commercial solar system for Cowra Hospital, with the system carefully planned to maximise solar exposure within the available roof space.
The project was designed around the hospital’s underlying electricity demand, with the aim of helping offset base loads and deliver strong long-term value from the available installation area.

Designed Around the Hospital’s Energy Use
The system requirements were driven by the hospital’s base electrical loads and the available roof area. Press Power designed the array to make the most of the usable space while maximising solar exposure and creating a system that aligned with the hospital’s ongoing daytime energy demand.
This approach allowed the project to focus on practical energy generation rather than simply installing the largest system possible.
Quality Equipment for a Long-Term Installation
The project included 227 Tongwei solar panels, backed by a 25-year warranty, together with two Sungrow SG50CX 50kW commercial inverters, each supported by a 10-year warranty.
The equipment was selected to provide a reliable commercial-scale solution suited to the requirements of the site.
Installed Around the Construction Program
The solar installation was completed over approximately three weeks of on-site work, spread throughout the wider construction phase of the hospital.
Working across the construction program allowed Press Power to coordinate the solar installation with the broader project and complete each stage when the site was ready.
